Senior Cloud and Middleware Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and deploy Web, middleware, and cloud infrastructure (e.g., JBoss, Redis, Kafka) using OpenShift and cloud-native technologies.
Lead assigned projects and coordinate small teams; review deliverables.
Assess and implement innovative infrastructure solutions for critical applications.
Document system architecture, security, and standards; work on processes for Internet-facing apps.
Manage interactions with development, project management, infrastructure, and security teams.
Develop/maintain Java/JavaEE integration components, automation frameworks, and DevOps tools.
Participate in major production implementations (~4 per year, including occasional Saturday work).
Collaborate with vendors for middleware/security software support.

Qualifications:

Master's in Computer Science or equivalent.
Expertise in Web/app server deployment (e.g., Apache, Java servers on Linux).
Strong knowledge of multi-tier Web resources, high-availability, security, and TLS (PKI).
Experience in application security design, vulnerability assessments, and technical architecture decisions.
Proficiency in Linux, OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes, GCP, Git, IntelliJ/Eclipse, Maven.
Bonus: Skills in Kafka, ActiveMQ, Ansible, Jenkins, and JavaEE.
Fluent English; French/German are assets.
