Lead SimCorp Implementation Consultant (Post Trade)

• Contract: 12 Months+
• Hybrid (3 days a week on site) in London
• Day rate (inside IR35): Negotiable 

Introduction

We are working with a leading independent financial institution with a strong global presence, known for its disciplined approach to asset and wealth management and ongoing investment in technology-driven transformation.

They are seeking a Lead SimCorp implementation consultant with deep expertise in post-trade processing to reinforce their high-performing team. This is a hands-on role requiring a seasoned professional who has successfully delivered post-trade SimCorp implementations and can provide both strategic guidance and technical leadership.

The ideal candidate will play a critical role in activating and configuring a wide range of post-trade features, ensuring best practices are applied, and supporting our team in a dynamic and delivery-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end implementation of post-trade functionalities in SimCorp Dimension, including configuration, testing, and production deployment.
• Configure and support post-trade modules, including:
• Trade Matching (CTM, MTM, Traiana, Tradenexus, Trax, MT300)
• SWIFT Instructions (54* message types)
• Settlement Management (including new status changes and workflow integrations)
• MT to MX migration support
• Act as a subject matter expert and advisor to both internal teams and SimCorp consultants, offering insights on implementation strategy, configuration, and optimization.
• Collaborate closely with business analysts, developers, and operations to define and validate requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals and operational realities.
• Provide best practice guidance across setup, data flow, exception handling, and post-trade operations.
• Troubleshoot complex issues in collaboration with SimCorp and internal technical stakeholders.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge transfer and capability building within the internal team.

Required Experience and Skills:

• Proven track record in leading post-trade implementations of SimCorp Dimension.
• Strong hands-on experience with trade matching platforms (CTM, MTM, Traiana, Tradenexus, etc.) and settlement workflows.
• Excellent understanding of SWIFT messaging standards (particularly 54* series) and MT to MX migration challenges.
• Deep knowledge of post-trade lifecycle processes including trade confirmation, settlement, and exception management.
• Experience working in demanding, fast-paced environments with a delivery-first mindset.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
• Proficiency in SimCorp configuration, integration, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with project delivery methodologies (Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in consulting or financial institutions implementing SimCorp Dimension.
• Knowledge of related systems (e.g., Aladdin, Xentis, Smartstream) is a plus.
• Fluency in English; additional European languages are an advantage.
