Depositary Operations Consultant – Luxembourg

Objective
To perform key depositary operational tasks with a focus on oversight, compliance, and risk management for a portfolio of UCITS and alternative investment funds.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day oversight and monitoring of Depositary operational procedures, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., UCITS V, AIFMD).
- Provide ongoing technical, monitoring, and advisory support for traditional and alternative fund structures.
- Act as a key point of contact between the Depositary function, internal teams, clients, and external service providers, managing complex operational and technical queries.
- Conduct detailed analysis and supervision of daily, weekly, and monthly control checks, escalating findings and risk indicators as necessary.
- Collaborate with Depositary Managers to deliver client-focused technical advisory services and ensure that all operational expectations are met.
- Monitor and report on service level delivery (SLD) and delegate/third-party performance, providing risk insights and operational metrics.
- Prepare management information and participate in governance forums, contributing to internal risk frameworks and operational improvement initiatives.
- Support onboarding activities for new fund clients and participate in due diligence and implementation processes.
- Drive continuous improvement in Depositary operations, ensuring best practices in compliance, data integrity, and operational resilience.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a depositary operations or oversight role, ideally within a Luxembourg-based financial institution.
- Strong understanding of UCITS and AIF structures, with knowledge of applicable European regulations.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across internal and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Fluency in English required; French or German is an advantage.
