Depositary Operations Senior Officer
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Depositary Services: Assist the team in delivering services as per AIFMD guidelines.
- Effective Communication: Maintain strong communication channels with clients, third-party stakeholders, and professional advisors to ensure seamless operations.
- Daily Operations Management: Handle daily tasks such as client requests, fund portfolio maintenance, event coordination, and stakeholder interactions, serving as the primary contact.
- Junior Staff Assistance: Guide junior staff in cash-flow monitoring, legal documentation analysis, and ownership verification.
- Documentation Review: Ensure all necessary documentation for complex asset transactions is collected, reviewed, and adhered to.
- Safekeeping and Record-Keeping: Perform duties related to the safekeeping and accurate record-keeping of complex asset transactions.
- Process Setup: Ensure records are accurate, verified, and processed promptly; establish operational processes with clients and internal systems.
- Fund Analysis: Conduct pre-onboarding fund analysis to ensure compliance with AIFMD during RFP stages and support the onboarding process.
- Audit Assistance: Facilitate the annual audit process by liaising with external auditors and ensuring complete fund inventory delivery to meet deadlines.
- Compliance: Ensure operational flows, policies, procedures, and checklists comply with AIFMD, UCITS laws, and CSSF regulatory frameworks.
- Report Preparation: Prepare reports for senior management, board of directors, various committees, and clients.
- Issue Escalation: Assess and escalate issues as necessary.
- Team Management: Monitor and manage junior members, reporting to the Depositary Manager/Directors.
- Additional Duties: Perform any other duties required by the Depositary.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience: 4-5 years in the banking and financial industry.
- Knowledge: Understanding of depositary duties and responsibilities; familiarity with Private Equity, Real Estate, FOHF, and Hedge Funds business, focusing on ownership verification.
- Technical Skills: Ability to work with various systems; strong knowledge of risks and controls.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact with multiple stakeholders across all business aspects; demonstrate autonomy, team spirit, and accountability.
- Flexibility: Good organizational skills and adaptability.
- Language Proficiency: Strong written and spoken English; proficiency in other languages is an advantage.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong command of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
