FINANCIAL REPORTING Senior Analyst LEUDELANGE

Department Overview

The Fund Reporting department in Luxembourg is a team of 20 professionals managing the processes of financial, tax, and regulatory reporting. These services involve managing offshore services, service providers, and coordinating interactions with fund auditors and tax advisors. This open position is for a Senior Analyst within the financial reporting team, which consists of five members. The team is responsible for coordinating all accounts and audit processes and overseeing the vendor responsible for producing financial statements. As a member of the financial reporting team, you will interact with various departments and have frequent interactions with service providers, clients, and auditors. Excellent communication skills are essential.

Main Duties

•Review annual and interim financial statements for the investment funds under administration.
•Organize and coordinate audits and the production of financial statements.
•Act as the main contact for auditors during audit cycles, ensuring smooth communication within the organization.
•Deliver high-quality service to clients by accurately and timely completing all assigned tasks and information requests, with close attention to detail.
•Build and maintain relationships with clients, auditors, and other parties, as well as internally with other departments and financial reporting teams at the EMEA level.
•Ensure agreed client service levels and regulatory filing deadlines are met.
•Continuously improve services by reviewing work practices and past audits to identify and eliminate inefficiencies, increasing productivity and controls.
•Act as an effective team member, sharing knowledge and offering assistance as appropriate.
•Review legal documents, service level descriptions (SLDs), and new business proposals from a financial reporting perspective.
•Work closely with the Team Leader and Managers on various processes and projects, taking the lead or assisting in implementing new processes to help the team achieve its goals and KPIs.
•Perform additional tasks as required, appropriate to the role and business requirements.
•Proactively identify areas of concern and suggest enhancements to procedures where weaknesses or potential efficiencies are identified, demonstrating a clear and risk-based approach to outsourcing arrangements.

Qualifications and Skills Required

•Degree in accounting, finance, economics, or equivalent.
•Previous experience in fund administration and knowledge of the financial reporting business.
•Excellent interpersonal skills, as this role requires interaction at all levels of the organization and externally; fluent English is necessary, and French or German is considered an asset.
•Excellent desktop, IT, and systems skills; experience with GP4 systems is advantageous, and knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential.
•Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
•Strong analytical, organizational, and coordination skills.
•Initiative in undertaking processes that may impact efficiency and client satisfaction.
•Technically competent to act as the first point of reference for day-to-day client queries and serve as a liaison to related areas.
•Proven ability to own problems and confidently make decisions to resolve issues with a risk-considered approach.
