Associate Relationship Manager - Limerick, Ireland
 

The role

This position involves performing depositary/trustee duties in compliance with corporate governance standards, Central Bank of Ireland regulations, local market requirements, and fund documentation. Responsibilities include client management, monitoring fund compliance with investment restrictions, engaging with regulators and audit firms, producing accurate management information (MI) reports, supporting depositary projects, contributing to new business initiatives, and managing internal and external reporting

  • Duration: 12+ month contract
  • Location: Limerick, Ireland (at least 3 days per week)
  • Rate: 50 Euros an hour

Responsibilities

Client Management

  • Serve as the first point of contact for assigned clients and internal partners.
  • Work independently to service assigned clients, ensuring timely issue escalation as needed.
  • Attend and present at quarterly board meetings, due diligence sessions, and client visits.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Participate in ad-hoc client meetings and calls.

Regulatory Oversight

  • Review fund documentation from a trustee/depositary perspective, including prospectuses, supplements, RMPs, valuation policies, and service-level descriptions (SLDs).

Investment Compliance Monitoring

  • Conduct periodic investment restriction reviews.
  • Investigate breaches and communicate findings to fund promoters or investment managers.
  • Update the regulatory breaches register.
  • Respond promptly to client and internal queries.

Reporting & Data Management

  • Complete and deliver monthly client reports within service-level deadlines.
  • Produce and distribute quarterly board reports within established deadlines.
  • Monitor and complete fund risk assessment reporting.
  • Maintain and update regulatory breaches and error registers.
  • Report investment breaches to fund boards and regulatory authorities, including the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI), as required.
  • Report material pricing errors to fund boards and the CBI as needed.

Due Diligence

  • Assist in the annual on-site inspection of each operational section within the administration company.
  • Support the ongoing monitoring of appointed global custodians and prime brokers.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Contribute to team projects such as implementing new regulations and improving processes.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of MI to depositary committees.
  • Participate in the development of departmental procedures.
  • Identify risks and issues, escalating them appropriately to the management team.

 

Requirements

  • Client-facing experience is crucial, with the ability to present either in person or via virtual platforms like Teams—this includes engaging directly with board members.
  • This is a newly established team that has grown over the past few years.
  • Experience in fund administration and management companies (ManCos) is helpful, especially with entities emerging in the Munster region.
  • The ideal candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills and present themselves well.
  • The role involves a mix of straightforward tasks and more complex asset classes/alternatives, which will become more prominent as the candidate progresses in the role.
