Accounting Team Leader

Our client, a leading bank in Luxembourg, are seeking an experienced Accounting Team Leader to manage an established accounting team and oversee key financial reporting functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support a team of experienced accountants, responsible for direct line management, support, and development.
• Oversee month-end processes and ensure compliance with LUXGAAP and IFRS standards.
• Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of monthly management reports and group reporting.
• Manage internal and external audit requirements related to Finance.
• Drive process improvements to enhance data quality and streamline system interfaces.
• Assist in budget preparation and ongoing financial monitoring.
• Support senior leadership with ad hoc financial requests and strategic initiatives.

Your Profile

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in finance or equivalent.
• Strong expertise in IFRS, LUXGAAP, and financial regulations, ideally in a banking environment.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI, and other financial tools.
• Fluent in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
