Frontend (Staff) Software Engineer, Stealth Decentralised Exchange Startup, London, Mainly in office, Competitive Salary and Equity/Tokens

 My client, a stealth start-up building a Decentralised Exchange on EVM, is looking for a FrontEnd Staff Software Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will be reporting directly to the CTO, implementing and most importantly, architecting their mobile and desktop clients which will connect into this DEX. While this project focuses on a blockchain system, prior experience with blockchain is not essential. However, having familiarity with trading interfaces and high availability systems would be highly advantageous.

In this role, you will be:

  • Architecting and implementing desktop and mobile clients. Building FrontEnd features, integrating these with backend endpoints and data streams

  • Working with the BackEnd team, Graphic Designers and Product Designers to ensure a complete end-to-end solution

  • Mentoring FrontEnd team members on engineering best practices

 

 The ideal candidate will have:

  • 6+ years FrontEnd experience

  • Notable experience architecting and developing desktop and mobile applications/interfaces

  • Experience writing and then shipping production grade code

  • Experience with CSS, Typescript, React & React Native, Redux or React hooks or other languages, frameworks and state management libraries

  • Practical experience with Websockets and REST APIs

  • Knowledge of Decentralised Exchanges, EVMs, Perpetuals and other novel DeFi primitives
