Senior System & Security Engineer



We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior System & Security Engineer with specialized expertise as a Windows Consultant. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Group Policy Objects (GPO), system hardening (CIS benchmark for server, IIS, SQL), and file permissions. This role is critical in ensuring the security, stability, and efficiency of our IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:


• Design, implement, and manage Group Policy Objects (GPO) to enforce security policies and system configurations across the organization.
• Perform system hardening based on CIS benchmarks for servers, Internet Information Services (IIS), and SQL Server to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Review and manage file permissions to ensure data integrity and access control.
• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement comprehensive security policies and procedures.
• Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents and breaches, providing detailed reports and recommendations for improvement.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technology advancements to ensure our systems remain protected.
• Provide expert guidance and support on security-related issues to IT staff and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:


• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a system and security engineering role, with a focus on Windows environments.
• Extensive experience with Group Policy Objects (GPO) management and configuration.
• Proven expertise in system hardening using CIS benchmarks for servers, IIS, and SQL Server.
• Strong knowledge of file permissions and access control mechanisms.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar are highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
