Data Governance and Quality Specialist (DataBricks)

Key Responsibilities
Data Quality Focus

Partner with stakeholders to define, document, and implement data quality rules.

Develop and manage workflows and data pipelines using SQL and ETL tools to ensure robust data quality.

Create insightful dashboards and reports (e.g., Power BI) to track and enhance performance metrics.

Identify, investigate, and resolve data quality issues, performing root cause analysis and recommending actions.
Data Governance Contributions

Help establish and manage data standards, policies, and procedures in support of the Data Governance program.

Collaborate with Data Owners and Stewards to drive alignment across business domains.

Develop comprehensive documentation, including data dictionaries, lineage tracking, and governance workflows.

Act as the bridge between technical and non-technical teams to promote seamless communication.
Stakeholder Engagement

Facilitate workshops and meetings to build awareness of data governance and quality initiatives.

Provide guidance and training on governance principles, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Requirements
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Experience
-
3-5 years of experience in data governance, data quality, or equivalent roles.

Financial services or asset management background is advantageous.
Technical Skills
-
Expertise in SQL and ETL tools (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake) for building and managing data pipelines.

Knowledge of visualization platforms such as Power BI.
-
Familiarity with data management tools like Atlan is a plus.
Domain Knowledge

Solid understanding of governance frameworks and data quality principles.

Experience with data stewardship and metadata management.
