Fund Controller
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Alternative Fund Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background as a fund controller and a proven track record in providing advisory services for setting up Private Credit / Debt Funds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fund Setup Advisory: Lead the advisory process for establishing Private Credit / Debt Funds, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Fund Control: Oversee the financial operations of the funds, including accounting, reporting, and reconciliation processes.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies for fund structuring, capital raising, and investment management.
- Client Engagement: Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions that align with their investment objectives.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with fund operations and investments.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including legal, compliance, and investment professionals, to ensure seamless fund operations.
- Market Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends and regulatory changes to provide informed advice and insights.
Qualifications:
- Experience: strong experience as a fund controller with a focus on alternative funds, particularly Private Credit / Debt Funds.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A professional certification such as CFA, CPA, or equivalent is preferred.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and proficiency in financial software and tools.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of fund accounting, regulatory requirements, and the alternative investment landscape.
