Java Developer (Java Virtual Machines &/or Kotlin Preferred), Banking/Financial Services, Full-time, Freelance, Hybrid working, Competitive daily rate

In this role, you will be:



• Designing and developing components for a market-leading trading platform.
• Collaborating with your team to onboard new technologies and driving significant
changes and initiatives within the product.
• Taking initiative by selecting the most suitable technologies, tools, and approaches to
achieve our goals.
• Working closely with peers and stakeholders to refine, analyze, and validate
requirements.
• Responsible for developing solutions from initial design all the way through to
production.

The ideal candidate will have:



• Good professional experience with Java/JVM Languages
• Notable professional experience in Kotlin development (or proven strong competence
in Java/JVM languages with a willingness to learn Kotlin).
• Proficiency in building container-ready applications and using containerization
technologies (such as K8s and Docker).
• General knowledge of SQL databases and Java ORM frameworks.
• Understanding of modern practices in automated testing.
• Strong aptitude using modern development tools for build processes, version control,
etc. (e.g., Git, Gradle).
• Full competence working in Linux environments.
