EMIR Reporting Analyst



Job Overview:


The EMIR Reporting Quality Checker will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of EMIR (European Market Infrastructure Regulation) reports. This role involves scrutinizing and validating data, liaising with various departments, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial regulations, attention to detail, and excellent analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:



Review and validate EMIR reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Ensure timely submission of EMIR reports in accordance with regulatory deadlines.
Monitor and interpret regulatory changes affecting EMIR reporting requirements.
Act as the first line of defense for EMIR reporting quality, ensuring data integrity and compliance before submission.
Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Compliance, IT, Operations) to resolve reporting issues.
Conduct root cause analysis of reporting errors and implement corrective actions.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of reporting procedures and quality checks.
Assist in the development and enhancement of reporting tools and processes.
Provide training and support to relevant staff on EMIR reporting standards and best practices.
Generate and analyze quality metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
First Line of Defense

Responsibilities:



Perform initial quality checks on EMIR reports to identify and rectify errors at the earliest stage.
Implement and maintain control measures to ensure compliance with EMIR reporting requirements.
Proactively manage and mitigate risks associated with EMIR reporting.
Ensure that all data reported is accurate, complete, and in line with regulatory standards.
Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure understanding and adherence to EMIR reporting processes and controls.
Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the data sources and systems used for EMIR reporting.

Requirements:



Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in EMIR reporting, regulatory reporting, or a similar role within the financial industry.
Strong knowledge of EMIR regulations and reporting requirements.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in using reporting tools and software.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in English; knowledge of French or German is an advantage.
Experience with data analysis and quality assurance methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:

Professional certification in regulatory compliance or a related area.
Experience in a multinational financial services environment.
Familiarity with other financial regulations and reporting requirements (e.g., MiFID, SFTR).
