Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated Java Engineer with strong technical expertise in Unix, batch processing, SQL, Java, API development, and cloud technologies to join our client in Brussels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Unix Systems Management: Manage and optimize Unix-based systems and processes.
• Batch Processing: Develop and maintain batch scripts to automate operational tasks.
• SQL Development: Write and execute complex SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation.
• API Development: Collaborate with development teams to build and maintain APIs using Java.
• Cloud Technologies: Leverage cloud technologies to ensure scalability and performance.
• Data Flow Projects: Participate in complex data flow projects, ensuring efficiency and quality.
• Test-Driven Development: Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies to ensure high-quality code.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Autonomous Problem-Solving: Ensure seamless communication and cooperation within the squad, while also being autonomous in problem-solving and decision-making.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Strong experience in a similar role with a focus on Unix, batch processing, SQL, Java, API development, and cloud technologies.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and proficiency in relevant technical tools and languages.
• Methodologies: Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and a Test-Driven Development (TDD) approach.
